The Eastern Military Command of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army on Saturday launched joint air and sea patrols as well as naval and air military drills around the island of Taiwan.
The patrols and exercises are intended to train the coordination of military ships and aircraft and their ability to control air and sea space. This was conveyed by Chinese Command Spokesperson Shi Yi.
Shi said the armed forces’ ability to fight in real combat conditions would be tested.
he added, the patrols and exercises served as a stark warning against “Taiwan independence” separatist collusion with foreign elements and their provocations.
